Overview

The Home Delivery Operations Manager oversees the operational success of final mile assembly and delivery services for our Hebron KY location. . This role leads the building team to ensure seamless execution of deliveries while maintaining a high standard of customer service. The Operations Manager is accountable for exceeding key performance indicators (KPIs), controlling costs, fostering cross-functional collaboration, recruiting and partnering with independent drivers, and optimizing warehouse procedures, including scanning systems, load-out processes, and return freight operations. The wage range for this position is $67,800 to $80,700 and will vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience

  • Develop and execute the station operations strategy of AIT.
  • Ensure processes and metrics are in place to ensure growth, service and profitability goals are accomplished.
  • Manage and communicate with AIT’s carriers ensuring best value and service vs objectives.
  • Ensures providers meet and adhere to the scope of SLA (Service Logistics Agreement) and agreed terms of service.
  • Exhibits strong negotiating skills and execution in Freight Forwarding Carrier Agreements.
  • Ability to track performance and develop strategic processes and proactively improve efficiencies and reduce dead time lanes.
  • Provides coaching and mentoring employees in a broad global environment.
  • Actively support key account operations requirements and ensure service execution and reliability.
  • Continue to build rapport with clients and work to develop new opportunities and create and manage key visual tools and tracking processes.
  • Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.

Other Skills We Hope to See

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics preferred.
  • 7–10 years of domestic forwarding experience preferred.
  • 3PL experience preferred.
  • P&L experience strongly preferred.
  • 1–3 years of operations supervisory experience and managing a team required.
  • Previous experience in a diversified freight forwarding industry preferred.
  • Procurement skills; operational and P&L management of global products and services in a high-performance organization.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
